Incorporation
On February 24, 2011, the Transition Network Team for Regional Tourism Organization #1 (RTO #1) disbanded. It had completed its goal of establishing the Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation.
The regional transition team was a collaboration of the tourism authorities of Chatham-Kent, Elgin County,Haldimand County, London, Middlesex County, Norfolk County, Oxford County, Sarnia-Lambton, Windsor-Essex-Pelee and the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Culture. Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation has been incorporated.
Your input helped the transition team develop a plan and structure that reflects the uniqueness of our area and generates significant returns on investment so that we meet our goals.
At three industry consultations across the region last fall, more than 150 stakeholders worked with the transition team and our consultant, Jane Garthson, to prepare the framework for the new Board of Directors.
