Introduction to Birding Workshop

May 13, 2017 – Long Point Bird Observatory, Long Point

From warblers, thrushes, and swallows to waterfowl, spring migration brings a large diversity of birds to Ontario. Come celebrate Migratory Bird Day with Bird Studies Canada Biologist and Science Educator Jody Allair by joining our Introduction to Birding program on Saturday, May 13 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Invite friends or family members out to learn about our local birds, identify spring migrants, and become more familiar with using binoculars and field guides.

This event is free, and is a great fit for anyone who has thought about taking up birding but didn’t know where to start! We’ll meet at the Long Point Bird Observatory Old Cut Field Station in Long Point, Ontario. Come prepared for the weather and outdoor trails.
