GreenStep Sustainable Destination Certification

It’s official – Ontario’s Southwest (OSW) is a Bronze Certified Sustainable Tourism Destination! Click here to read the news release. 

We undertook the process to receive GreenStep’s Sustainable Tourism Certification for destinations, a program recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. The process involved answering 117 questions related to the themes of: management, social & economic, cultural & natural interactions, and environmental. Achieving this certification sets a baseline for the destination to encourage action to become more sustainable.
